MIDDLEBURY, CT -- Starion Energy employees collected over $1,400 in toys, enough gifts to fill over four large boxes. Cars, trucks, Barbie dolls, Legos, Play-Doh, art supplies, educational games, sports equipment, board games, infant toys and more were all included. The toy drive ran from just after the company’s Thanksgiving food drive in November through December 18th.
This is the ninth year Starion Energy, Inc. has donated to a national charity. “The company response to this year's toy drive was fantastic; our employees are always willing to open their hearts and wallets every year to support great local and national charities,” said Customer Support Representative Jhussette Kelly.
This year's toy drive benefited pediatric oncology patients at Smilow Children's Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. "Our goal this holiday season was to put smiles on the faces of local children and families in need, as well as provide pediatric patients with comfort, enjoyment, and support while they are receiving inpatient and outpatient care", added Lisa Schmidt, Office Manager at Starion Energy.
Jhussette Kelly added, "the annual holiday toy collection drive is just one of many ways the company tries to be involved in its local community, state, and national charities. “We have amazing company ownership and employees that always want to give back to our community.
